The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) issued a new rule last week banning new noncompete agreements and prohibiting the enforcement of current noncompete against workers. After 30,000 submitted comments, the FTC moved forward with the prohibition, stating that noncompete restrict the freedom of American workers and suppresses wages, stifles new business and new ideas.
